My name is Tonia Groezinger, and I am a 31 year old wife and mom to 3. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, and currently live there with my husband and children. Since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a mom. I was so lucky to find my husband, Vince, at such a young age in 2006. We were married in 2013. Our children were born in 2015 (Dominic), 2017 (Annalise), and 2019 (Ronan).
I have always been a blunt and very honest person. These characteristics have been some of my most valued traits, but also some of my biggest flaws. Because of these traits, I feel like I have a responsibility to speak up for what I believe in and what I feel is necessary to teach my children.
I grew up knowing that being an American was something special. I am 2nd generation born here on my maternal side and 5th generation on my paternal side. Because of the struggles my family had before they immigrated here, they always made it a priority to let their children and their children’s children know how lucky we are to be able to live here. They never wanted us to take for granted what it means to be an American because they knew very well what it meant to not live with specific rights and freedoms given to us here. My husband and I have always made it a priority to teach our children what it means to be an American and why it is important to always remember why being an American is so special.
I have never been one to really be up on current events. However, due to events happening since the beginning of 2020, I have decided that it is important to be up to date on current events.
My goal in writing is to not only have a place to be able to freely express myself, but to also have readers know that they are not alone in life. I want readers to know that their opinions matter to me even if their views differ from mine, and that if they do have views and opinions similar to mine, that they are not alone.
